The internal sources of recruitment means ways or methods adopted by companies in getting new employees.

Recruitment method can be categorized into two (2) which are the

1) Internal sources
2) External sources

Internal sources of recruitment

These are recruitment exercise carried out within the organization. It comprises of different methods.
The various methods of internal source are as follows

(1) Promotions :- Upgrading an employee(s) to higher vacant position

(2) Demotions :- Downgrading an employee to a lower vacant space or lower position in a company due to some reasons like low performances, laziness.

(3) Transfers :- Moving/Shifting an employee to go work or perform similar duties at another branch. like Doctors etc

(4) Internal advertisement :- Non personal form of communication done within the company to enable qualified employees apply for higher post.

(5) Employee information :- With the backing of the board the employee(s) recommends a suitable candidate for a vacant position.

(6) Retired employees :- A situation whereby by the organization had to call back a retired employee for a short period of time.

(7) Recall back :- Organization cutting short the leave granted to an employee so as to come attend to arising matters.

External sources of recruitment

These are recruitment exercise carried outside a company.

OR

It refers to employing new workers from outside a company or an organization.

(1) public advertisement :- Examples includes Billboard, radio 📻, Television, internet etc. A non personal form of communication done to alert the public on job vacancies in their organization.

(2) Private :- Agencies setup to recruit for organization when necessary.

(3) Schools (institutions):- Organizations interviews student who are knowledgeable but inexperienced in other to recruit them.

(4) Recommendations :- These are Recruitment done by the firm based on recommendations by high profile employees like managers etc.

(5) Government employment agency : Recruitment done by individuals on behalf of government concerning a particular job (contract) example includes bridge construction 🚧
